Triumph Repair: Down draft Webber conversion, charcoal filters, robert bentley

Question
I bought a car with the Webber conversion all ready done.  My question is there are a few things that need addressing.  There are several hoses from the charcoal filters to the gas tank as well as the vacuum advance is not hooked to anything and the hose for the valve cover goes no where.  Is there a diagram or instructions to clean up these extras?  Thanks

Answer
John,

The best bet is a Robert Bentley manual.  I don't know of any online diagrams of the vapor recovery system.

Some of the air filter bodies come with pre-punched knockouts for fitting vapor recovery plumbing into into the filter.

Depending upon what you want to do and what the local laws are there are different ways to handle it.  If you don't need to keep all the emissions system parts intact then it's possible to set up the car like the pre-68 Spitfires.

Cheers,

Jim
