Triumph Repair: disc brake conversion, rear, disc

I have a 1978 Spitfire. I am doing an off frame restoration. I thought it would be nice to put disc brakes on the rear. Is there a conversion kit available? Should I try to morph a TR8 or similar system ?

You might take a peek at PRI Race (www.prirace.com), last I'd heard they either had a kit or were making one.

My question for you is:  Why?

Under normal street use the rear drums are more than adequate.  With the lightly loaded back end on a Spitfire you want to be careful with brake bias to avoid spinning the car in a panic brake situation.
