Triumph Repair: starting troubles, starter fluid, carburator

Question
I have a spitfire i have been working on and i cant figure out why it wont start. it has spark. i have gas going in to the carburator. the timing is where it should be. i dont know what else to do. it has the proper amount of compression. how do i know if it is getting fuel from the carburator. how do i know if something is broken inside of the carb. if you could answer these questions that would b great

Answer
Easy one! Just spray starter fluid in the intake while spinning the engine over. WD-40 works too.
If it don't start, you have either no compression, or a completely stopped up exhaust system or you have a weak or no spark or it is not at the right time.
That is 100% clear cut.
Let me know.
