Triumph Repair: carburator, carbon canister, float bowl

Question
i just typed anouther question a minute ago and fould that you had already awnsered most of it. but i was wondering which nipple is the primary feed? the one near the front bumper of near the cab. if so what is the other nipple for? what about the nipple on the top of the carburator?  do you have any diagrams for the charcole canister system? and finally how does the anti-runon valve hook up i have been trying for almost a week and cant figure it out. thank you for your help

Answer
Jerry,

There are the two fittings on the side of the carb throat towards the firewall.  The lower fitting has the end "flared" or "bulged" out, that is the fuel inlet to th carb.  The fitting above it is a breather for the float bowl that should be tied into the carbon canister setup.  The larger fitting angled out from the carb body is normally connected to the line off the valve cover to allow engine fumes to be burnt.

Unfortunately I don't have all my resources here at my fingertips... and I'll admit that I don't have late model Spitfire emissions line routings memorized.

Cheers,

Jim
