QuestionBoth the horn and wipers were fine, then the horn failed and then shortly after the wipers failed. However the windscreen wash and lights etc are all ok.
I have a wiring diagram but am struggling to work out what I should be looking at and where to find key features inside the car such as the fuse box horn relay, horn etc.
Any advise is much appreciated!

The fuse box is on the drivers side (LHD cars) on the firewall above the footwell. It's got an (originally)clear plastic cover.. typically the plastic hazes or gets painted over... or it gets lost and the previous owner gets creative with making a new cover.
I don't have my own wiring diagrams here to tell if the affected systems are on the same fuse. One thing to keep in mind is that in the fuse box the 4 different "prongs" that hold the the fuse in are totally separate, so it's possible to have a good fuse with have the supported systems not working.
The horns are bolted to the frame in front of the radiator.
If the fuse box turns out ok, it's worth working back through the wiring harness, carefully breaking and remaking the connectors to make sure that they're not corroded. Get a decent voltmeter and have a friend try the problem switches while you check for voltage on the circuits.
Keep in mind that it's a 35 year old car, it's allowed to show it's age once in a while.
