Triumph Repair: Spitfire Seat Covers (1972), open cell foam, upholstery shop

Hello Mister, Any idea where I can purchase seat covers for my 1972 Spitfire (U.S. Model) without being taken for a ride.  $600.00 for a pair ?? YEOW !!

What you might do is look in the yellow pages for a local upholstery shop.  I've had friends in my area get the seats redone for under $300.

If the seat foams on your car are shot then it's worth either getting the proper ones (pricey) or talking over with the upholstery shop on what foam they'll use.  The local shop used a lightweight open cell foam... it's ok for the seat back but you need something heavier for the seat bottom.
