Frank,

Sorry, I can't give much help either way.  Both approaches have their positive and negative aspects.  The Webers would need to be choked down quite a bit or you'll have no low end response.. and that's the TR6 specialty.

The supercharger will give low end grunt, but puts a drag on the engine.

I suspect that you could get better (more HP) and more reliable results by locating a TR6 PI intake manifold and converting to a more modern electronics setup.  The crude Lucas injection setup was good for 150hp.....  vs 100+ for the carb'd version of the TR6.  Imagine what a modern setup could achieve... with out having to constantly tweak.

Either way, have fun!

Jim

Answer
Frank,

One vendor of a replacement FI system is TWM

No financial interest... just that they're one company that's been around for a good number of years and seem to know what they're doing.  I'm sure there are many other kits available.

A friend did a conversion using the factory PI manifold and an aftermarket FI system designed for the old straight 6 Jeep engine.

Really it gets into budget and knowledge.

Jim
