Answer
Belvin, I have books up to 1973 but this information should be pretty close. it shows a green wire from the fuse panel it goes to a (if i remember) silver "box" which is a voltage stabilizer (should have lots of green wires on it) but in particular 2 lightgreen/green wires.it goes to one side of the fuel gage. the ones with no black should be hot when ignition is on. a green/black should run to the fuel tank sending unit it should be hot still at the sending unit . if the sending unit has 2 connections a solid black wire the black is definitly a ground. the sending unit could have only one wire and is grounded at the tank itself, if that is the case the single connection should still be the hot wire. good luck.
