Triumph Repair: Manifold removal, triumph 1500, tool collection

I have a Triumph 1500 1978 with twin SU's and am currently strippng off the exhaust and inlet manifold. The problem being I cannot get to the two lower bolts holding the inlet / exhaust manifold to the engine. There is not enough space to get a wrench in and I cannot use a spanner from below as the manifold is in the way, any suggestions ?

Does the car have the standard exhaust manifold or an aftermarket kit?

Regardless, as the manifolds are in place now it's got to be possible to reach those bolts.  In my tool collection I have open end wrenches of various lengths.  Sometimes a long thin wrench can reach, sometimes a cut down wrench will do the job.
