Do you have any good resorces of finding a safe roll bar that is
made for safty, not looks?

Autopower used to make a "good" rollbar.  I haven't looked for one in years so I don't know if they're still around.  Get the bar with the diagonal brace.

The one thing to keep in mind is that most rollbars seem to be designed to bolt through the floor pan.  Not the strongest arrangement, even with proper backing plates.

You might try looking around to see if there is a race car fabricator in your area that could make one to custom fit your car.  It'd be really good to have one built that might tie into some stronger areas in the Spitfire bodywork.
