Triumph Repair: Carby setup, compensators, o rings

I have a tr6 TC. I have problems with running on and starting when warm. The Triumph manual suggests the temp. adjusters under the plastic covers on the side of the carbs might need adjusting but doesn't tell me how to do it. Could you please help?

That's interesting, as all the manuals I can find on the Triumph (or the Stromberg) suggest that adjustment of the temp compensators is... strongly discouraged.

Having said that, there are two o-rings under the temperature compensation assembly that can fail with age... that'd  be one place to start.
