Triumph Repair: Peugeot 206 Problem, peugeot 206, accelarator

Question
I own a 2001 Peugeot 206 1.1 Style

I am only learning to drive however I think this is a fault and the reviews online on this car have already made me cry! (It's my first car and apparently it's eventually going to start stalling on me on the motorway killing my future kids!).

When I was practising, it accelerated itself; when going forward, it moved by itself very slowly however, it was not due to gravity as it when up a slope (ie. it does not stall when i take my feet of all the pedals like a normal car should)! And when reversing, it reversed very fast by itself. My dad just shouted at me saying I was imagining things but I promise my foot was NOT on the accelerator. I am fairly technical minded and problems like these which Peugeot do not admit to and which garages cannot find are usually down to my stupid car's ECU however i am not sure. i know of a company (www.bba-reman.com) who can supply me with an ECU with updated software however can anybody think of another problem? is there such a thing of a misallignment of my accelerator pedel (ie its always depressed a bit)?

Answer
Jonny, I don't know how Peugeot and  Triumph are even remotely comparable, but there is a lot of information missing here. Is this a standard or automatic? I kind of assume auto.automatics usually creep foward unless brake is pushed. reverse is a high gear and moves pretty quick so don't press accelarator much.last someone brobably rigged the throttle to keep it running causing many problems. Peugeot,SAAB,Fiat,YUGO,3 are four letter words and if Peugeot is re-arrainged im sure it spells something else.get rid of it any way you can!!!! Dave
