Triumph Repair: 1975 Spitfire 1500, chrome bumpers, rear bumpers

I'm having a difficult time finding a front bumper for my 1975 Spitfire 1500 restoration project and was told a 1974 bumper will work. Would you happen to know if that's true?

Rick,

All of the chrome bumpers from the Mk IV/1500 series (1971 'til 1979ish) should swap.  The front over-riders did change several times during that time frame, but the main chromed steel piece is the same.

The rear bumpers did change in the '76 or '77 time frame with the addition of a double width center cover section (from over-rider to overrider) so the bumper gained some extra holes and the factory didn't bother doing a good finish on center portion of the bumper (covered by the center section).
