Triumph Repair: removing left front roter. cant get off bolt cover, slide hammer, barrings

how do I get the bolt cover off my left front axil to remove barrings and rotor

Jerry, since  most of the questions I've been getting lately are for TR6's I assume that's what you have.these instructions apply to some others anyway.spray penetrating oil on the cap that is covering the nut. I tap on it with a good size screwdriver or chisel.hit it with a hammer.hit it near the back knocking towards the front.hit then turn a little and hit and turn you should see it move until it will come off. you might dig into it a little but that's ok.the only other thing I can think of is a dent puller (slide hammer )screw it into the center and use the slide to back it off. if all else fails cut it off and find some replacements. good luck , Dave
