Triumph Repair: Vacume systems; 76 Spitfire, hemmings motor news, porsche 911

My air pump stopped working years ago and since then have been trying to configure my vacume system to accomidate the change. Can you make any suggestions to a solution to simplify the vacume system, ie. carb settings or modifications to ignition system?

back when i had a MGB i took the air pump off. it did not run any better. i am sorry to say i would rather see you get a Hemmings Motor News.. in the English parts area, you can buy a rebuilt air pump.just put it back on.you won't be able to do anything with the carb. i have owned cars from the air pump era and the porsche 911's even had them.i try to put my cars that i restore back to factory specs. when you bought it brand new it satisfied you and ran pretty sweet? you get the picture.sorry for not so good news .
