UK Car Repair: Vauxhall Astra 1.6 sxi 16v Mk4, vauxhall astra, egr valve

Question
Hi Christian.

Not sure if you can help but i thought it would worth asking just incase you can. I have a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 sxi 16v Mk4 which at the moment it has lost it's power when i try to accelerate when the engine is warm. It is very hard to explain but you know when you set off in 2nd and power it not there. well that is what the car is like when the engine is warm. i have checked my spark plugs and they are firing fine. There is no misfire. Have check my air filter and looks brand new. Going to clean my Throttle body and EGR valve and my fuel filter today. Do you if there is anything else that it could be??

Answer
Check the vacuum line from the intake manifold - could be split.
And check the water level is correct and there are no air locks.
- If no joy then have the diagnostics scanned, It could be MAF sensor or MAP sensor IMO.
have a scan instead of blindly changing parts, every fault seems to have similar consequences in this car and the diagnostic is the only way to really identify any faults.
