UK Car Repair: fiat punto speedo, manual gearbox, mk 1

i have converted a 1999 mk 1 punto 8 valve auto to manule and i can not find where to conect the speedo generator wires to i did not get the car with the auto box so i dont know which typ of conector was fitted but can find no wiring any where any help would be greatly recived

Isn't it a cable driven speedometer on the manual box?
I don;t have a manual for the car and my internets been downgraded to SLOW!... so cant help further than that -
can you go to the scrapper and look on an automatic where the wire goes to? and check your manual gearbox for a speedo cable drive? - you'll need a cable driven speedometer if I'm right. if you're already at the scrapper when you find out... you can get the speedometer while you're there, and have a good choice and find one with similar miles on it so you don't need to wind the number up or down.
