UK Car Repair: Corniche, chasis number, little consequence

Question
William, thanks for your previous response. Just some more advice please:
1)The chasis number for this one is DRH778 - is this a genuine convertible?
2) Its hood is not 'Everflex', but Haartz twill weave acrylic fabric - is this a re-fit, and if it is, is it acceptable?
3) Owner reckons it's done about 200,000 miles - I guess it's considered low for the year, but is this of any concern?  What should I been looking for in terms of engine health (eg, smoke, water in oil, knocks,...)?
Thanks,
Albert.

Answer
There is no such chassis no. they started at 1000.  Unless you missed a digit! DRX is the prefix for a drophead. Haartz is acceptable if you dont mind it. Mileage is of little consequence, only condition. This is a complex vehicle and far too difficult to discuss in this detail on this type of forum. You need to find a someone who knows the model well and have it examined.
