UK Car Repair: Jag XJ6 93. Fan problem, loud noise, fifteen years

Hello, my Jaguar's fan makes a somewhat loud noise when the engine gets warm and I wanted to see if you had any advice. It turns itself on and off. The fan stays on after i have turned the car off and I assume its the fan making the noise because when I open the hood, the only thing still moving is the fan and when the fan stops, the noise stops. Any suggestions would be great, Thanks in advance.

It would appear to be a bad bearing in the fan, it's possible you could open it and change the bearing but after fifteen years it would make sense to fit a new fan.  You could probably find an aftermaket fan that would fit at a more reasonable cost than from Jaguar!
