QUESTION: hi, when i pull the lever the fold the passenger seat nothing happens. how would i take out the seat or open it to see what is wrong?

ANSWER: Hey thee, slide the seat forward and remove the two bolts holding it down ( 2xT40 torx head bolts in the runners)lift the seat forward and pull, it should come out. If it does not slide the seat back and there may be two more bolts in the front. _ good luck _ Paul

QUESTION: ok so that will remove the seat right? how would i know whats wrong? do you have any ideas why the seat does not fold?



ANSWER: Hey there, the seat has a latch which attaches to a cable and this can slip off or break. Strip off the seat back (or cushion whichever has the lever attached) and you will see the mechanism and the reason will become apparent. - let me know how it goes - Paul

QUESTION: havnt had the chance to attempt in yet due to the terrible weather! but how would i "strip off the seat back". the level is on the top corner but is there something that i need to tear off or does it simply come off and how would i do that?

Hello again, remove the plastic covers from the hinge of the seat (you will see the latch for the seat at this point, and you may not need to strip the seat any further, to rectify your issue. If you do, continue to follow these steps), remove the bolts which hold the two parts of the seat together. Underneath the seat back is a plastic strip which holds the fabric on, you will have to twist this strip horizontally to undo it. Once you have done this the fabric cover should slide off and you will have an exposed seat frame. good luck - Paul
