UK Car Repair: vectra, temperature sensor, water temperature

my car starts for 4.5 min and cut of and i try again i have 2 whait 2.3 houres and starts and cut of

As it does run initially there is no mechanical fault, it is almost certainly electronic. It starts fine cold and so at that point all is OK, it seems that as soon as the engine/system is warm we get the problem. First make sure the fuel is getting to the engine, a blocked filter would likely make the pump overheat causing shutdown!  I would then replace the water temperature sensor,the next thing would be the engine ECU
