UK Car Repair: ROVER 75 HEATER, rover specialists, heater assembly

QUESTION: I have recently purchased a Rover 75 2.0 V6 that has the climate control. Problem is it blows hot on the drivers side and only warm on passenger side when an max. setting. Apparently they have changed the heater assembly, the control unit and the sunlight sensor all of which have failed to cure

ANSWER: Well, why did whoever changed those items just give up? These are complicated systems without having a scanner, all I can think of is an in car sensor is faulty or disconnected, but I have no idea of where it is>

QUESTION: The trader has apparently sent it to three Rover specialists who cannot find a fault. Having spent £500 (supposedly) on the the problem already they are not willing to throw any more money at it,wont refund, but are telling me to get it diagnosed at my expense.

I don't believe this story, anyone who had the proper equipment would be able to diagnose the problem as the fault code is almost certainly in the vehicle computer. Ask them for the receipts for the work, saying you will take it back to the same people!
