UK Car Repair: BMW 328ci cuts out when hot, throttle position sensor, bmw 328ci

Question
QUESTION: 1999 BMW E46 328Ci.

Cars starts. Mirefires slightly on start up, takes a few goes to start.

Drive it, revs ok, once the temp gauge hits middle and the temp registers circa 96 degrees celcius, The car suddenly misfires and dies. about 20 minutes or so of running.

Very hard to restart, just cuts out as soon as it catches, then dies.

Impossible to restart, have to wait a few hours to cool down before It will catch, but very hard to do do

replaced the thermostat/coolant sensor unit. as that was out of range.

MAF OK
Throttle Position Sensor OK
No vacum leaks

On the OBD scanner, O2 sensors read voltages between .01 to .07 (which im assuming is normal)

All 4 have voltage output.

fan works.

But when the magic temp is hit or thereabouts, all the O2 sensors stop reading any voltage. car cuts out

HELP!!!!!

Whats happening. Is there a short circuit

Have all my O2 sensors gone mad/disfunctional

or it it the ECU at fault or perhaps a relay in between?

ANSWER: Did you get my response or is this a duplicate question.

QUESTION: Hi.

I didnt recieve your response for some reason.

can you be kind enough to resend???

In addition to the original question above. I have replaced the fuel pump relay, the ignition relief relay and the DME relay as well as the thermostat/engine management coolant temp sensor unit.

MAF was tested by disconnecting from start up until cut out to make sure that was not the problem

Car still does the same thing. misfire when throttling before cutting out.

HELP.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Answer
The initial problem seems fuel related. Is there fuel pressure at the rail? changing the fuel filter might be worthwhile.  As for the temp related issue, if you had another temp sensor you could just plug it on the harness without removing the old one!!
