ANSWER: When does it cut out, at speed /at idle etc, how many miles on it and have you ever changed the fuel filter?

QUESTION: its done 57k, filter has been checked and seems fine, it first did it yesterday on motorway doing about 75mph then wouldnt start up for about 5 mins now its doing it as soon as the engine warms up.
AnswerIt sounds very much like an overworking fuel pump, make sure there are no crushed or kinked fuel lines. Also some models have a primary filter at the tank outlet. You may be able to do a fuel delivery test if you can find a suitable point at which to disconnect the supply hose, if so, have someone turn the engine over as you direct the fuel into a container, if it is good cold, do the same hot right after it stalls.
