UK Car Repair: vauxhall vectra 1.8 1996 engine type X18-XE, vauxhall vectra, fuel starvation

Hi,I have a vectra 1.8 and it runs fine after about 2-3 mins. When first started in the morning it idles and revs up ok but when you try to drive, its trying to pull back all the time and has no power. If you sit there for a couple of mins firsts its ok. I've change the temp engine switch (with blue top)and cleaned throttle housing but theres no change, please could you help?

It sounds as if it has fuel starvation, have you checked the petrol filter?  Otherwise, the petrol system is losing pressure,  there could be a number of reasons for this and you would need to test the pressure with a gauge. Check the filter is not blocked first.
