UK Car Repair: Corsa 1.2i 1997, fuel evaporation, fuel injection system

I have a problem starting the engine when it is hot. I have to floor the throttle to start it, and then it rev roars like mad. It can be quite embarrassing at fuel stations etc.  Any ideas ? Fuel injection system ?

It sounds like it is having fuel evaporation.  Is the engine running particularly hot? You could try making sure there is insulation between the exhaust or engine, and the fuel supply line. Some people have cured the problem by fitting metal or wood spring clamps to the metal fuel rail.
