UK Car Repair: Carburation available, mechanical sensors, newer cars

Is there an alternative to the Stromberg Carb on my 77 MG midget.  The car has been modified prior to my owning it.  To include modifications to the VGR system.  I would like to find an after market, electronic fuel system. Mechanical Sensors? Or at least something less "sensitive"

Yes there are alternatives but it depends on the regulations in the country in which you live. In California all pre 1976 cars are exempted. Newer cars have to meet stringent standards for emmissions tests and "modified" cars are difficult to get through.
