UK Car Repair: vauxhall corsa 1.4 16V, vauxhall corsa, engine temp

Question
As soon as I start my car the cooling fan is coming on,from cold start,will i be able to fix it .

Answer
There are two conditions which activate the fan,  anytime the AC is switched on, or if the engine temp gets too high. There is a switch close to the thermosat which controls the temp operation, find it and see if it has been bypassed, ie, the wires have been connected together. If not,disconnect the plug to the switch, the fans should go off if the switch is bad.
