UK Car Repair: vauxhall astra diesal estate s reg wont start! please help!!!?, vauxhall astra, injector lines

hi, on the way home from taking our van for its mot and finding out its gonna cost us a fortune! OUR CAR BROKE DOWN (unlucky or what!!) it was low on diesal, so i put some in and on the way home it stalled and has'nt started again. a friend towed us home and it still would'nt start. if anyone has any ideas please please let me know. thanks in advance

It sounds like an air lock, you have to bleed it out by having someone turn the engine over while you break open the pump bleed nipple and/or the injector lines to the cylinders, be careful, have a rag ready to catch the spray and open them just a little, you will see the air bubbles first then clear diesel.
