hiya i have an 03 astra and i need to change the barrel do i need special tools

Well, I would be able to tell you, but I have no idea what a barrel refers to. Unfortunately the US and UK slang terms for automobile parts are not the same. However, reply to this message with a term that is more familiar to me and I will be able to give you an answer. Sorry for that, but I just can't figure for the life of me what a barrel would be.
