Volkswagen Repair: 1993 vw passat brake problems, rear brakes, vw passat

do you know what could possibly be wrong with my brakes? I have an abs. I have front brakes but no rear brakes,full pedal and pads on all are in excellent condition. Have to put full force on brake pedal to even try to stop. no fluid going to rear brakes at all.

 The front brakes are supposed to provide about %70 of braking power.  So even with NO rear brakes, your stopping power should still be good.  I am curious how you know there is no fluid going to rear brakes?  Regardless, most brake systems have a 2 part fluid reservoir, split for front and back brakes, for safety reasons.  I would check this first to see if it is low.  Also if there is an ABS fault, having the ECU (computer) scanned by a mechanic should reveal this fault code.
