Volkswagen Repair: Vw Passat, vw passat, greaser

Question
I have a problem with trying to remove the ignition coils on a 2006 vw passat 1.6 fsi.I wanted to change the spark plugs and on trying to lift the coil (gently) it snapped in half, they seem to be stuck to the plugs.Is this common with this model as I have removed them on other models such as polo etc with no poroblems.

 There are problems with the coils.  I believe this is a VW recall item, but not sure if it applies to your 1.6 FSI.  Check out these articles:
