Volkswagen Repair: 96 Jetta GL Trek, oxnard st, clutch cable

Question
I believe my clutch cable to be broken. While driving home today the clutch pedal dropped to floor and won't come back up without reaching down and pulling it up. what i'd like to know is how extensive it will be to replace this part. I know enough about car repair to do some of my own work. (i.e. change axels or boots, install new fuel/air filters, install new gas pump) I'd rather not pay to have this fixed. I have the proper manual somewhere and would put in the effort to find it if it is worthwhile. Thanks

Answer
If your clutch cable is broken, this is not a complicated part to change. Just disconnect it from the trans and disconnect it from the pedal. You may have to remove the cover for the fuse box and pedals. I am Max's German Car located at 15020 Oxnard st Van Nuys CA 91411.
