Volkswagen Repair: vw cabrolae, vacuum leak, fuel filter

1982? won't idle or keep running. it came to Id. from Las Vegas and ran fine. Now we can't keep it running. just dies out.

Sorry for the delayed reply on this. There are so many things that could be going on here that it's almost impossible to tell you what it is without actually working on the car. Could be anything from a vacuum leak to a half clogged fuel filter. I suggest you find an honest VW mechanic in your area and have the car towed there. Good Luck!
