Volkswagen Repair: Jetta 1999 Dashboard light, dashboard light, stiff wire

Hi Paul,

The lights of the ventilation/heat of my Jetta 1999 just went off a couple of days ago. I suspect it's a fuse. Where can I find the fuse for this light?

It's not the fuse if all the other dash lights still work.
Remove the dial from the centre knob and replace the bulb with a small short hose.  Push the hose over the bulb and pull back gently. To install the new bulb, insert the bulb into the end of the hose, and insert the bulb into the dial, push a small stiff wire into the hose to hold the bulb in while you pull out the hose.
