Volkswagen Repair: JETTA headlight assembly, jetta gl, headlight assembly

I have a 97 jetta GL and i need to replace the passenger side headlight assembly.  do i need to remove any other parts around the headlight to replace the entire assmebly?  also about how many screws are holding it in and where?

You'll need to remove the grill, by taking out the screws and releasing the clips with a small screwdriver.  Then remove the four screws that hold in the headlight assembly and unplug the bulb.  If you need to install the old bulb into the new light, DON'T TOUCH THE GLASS PART OF THE BULB!
