How to check a crank sensor or a impulse sensor on a 1992 volvo 740 2.3L

sorry I have not the book for 1992 740,
but as a practical clue I can tell you that

measure the resistance between leads #1 and #2 of your car's sensor
and check the new sensor's value in the spare part shop,
if they are same, as logic that means your sensor has no problem,

and also as another clue I can say that, generally impulse sensor's ohm value between the leads as average between 110-140 ohms.
