Volvo Repair: 1985 volvo 240 DL stationwagon stalling, volvo 240 dl, volvo 240

Question
My dad recently recently obtained a 1985 Volvo 240 DL station wagon that miss fires and stalls, but only when it is warmed up to about operating temp. I have replaced the fuel filter and checked the timing, I was thinking that there is ether a problem with the computer/ electrical or with the flue injectors. The car will stall, sputter and miss fire when driving, but when it is at idle it will die, it will also die when i am not pushing on the throttle. increased the idle to try to temporarily compensate till I got the problem fixed.

Answer
Matt, sounds like an air mass meter issue and a minor tune up issue.  What is the condition of the cap, rotor, plugs and wires?  The Myth of the fuel filter is only for American Cars.  I have never seen a Volvo fuel filter get clogged.  Gotta check basics before thinking about computers and injectors.  Roger
