Volvo Repair: my car shuts off for no reason, volvo 740, engine harness

Hi, I have a 1991 Volvo 740 turbo. This problems has happened in the past but its consistantly happening now. While i'm driving it will completely shut off with no warning sign, no engine shutter. No matter what speed i'm going on the highway or city roads. I want to know what the problem is so when I do get it fixed, I won't get screwed since i'm a female.

Rachelle, Thats like asking a doctor whats wrong with me when I pass out.  I have no idea without doing a few tests.  I can say that its most likely ignition related like a coil or engine harness or possible relay or sensors.  I can help you find a reputable Volvo shop in your area.  Tell me what area you are in and I can point you in the right direction.  Roger
