Volvo Repair: wont start, engine wiring harnesses, volvo 245

i have a 1985 volvo 245 turbo and the car starts but dies after 5 to 10 min and will not restart i think it is a spark problem cause after the car dies i spary starting fuild and it still wont start please help?

Sam, It can be a number of things.  Check all the fuses to see if they are good, especially numbers 7 and 13.  That one gets hot sometimes.  It may be a relay or a coil problem.  Without proper tests, I would only be having you go to different places to check. Engine wiring harnesses are an issue on those as well. DONT USE STARTING FLUID.  If you want to use something use carb cleaner. Roger
