Volvo Repair: climate control lights on S60, volvo dealer, climate controls

Question
My lights on the climate controls drivers side is completely out now and passenger side is half way out. Volvo dealer said would have to replace the whole control to get lights working again. Everything on the control works, other then the lights I have mentioned. is it possible to just replace these lights or does the whole unit need replaced. If whole unit needs replaced what is this called if I try and find it on website to order it. i am in Germany and state side parts are cheaper. is this assembly easy to change where I could do it??
Thanks
Randy

Answer
RAndy, I believe the dealer is correct but if you are handy and like to take things apart, then I would try it.  Its called the A/C control head.  The bad thing is, if you get a new head, the dealer has to download the program to get it to work in your car.  Sorry for the bad news.  Roger
