Volvo Repair: Remote starter for XC70, new hero, light thanks

Hi Roger,
I have an 01 XC70 with 80k miles.  I had a remote starter installed for myself for Christmas (its COLD in New England)
Problem: When engine is cold, engine will start and run for about 5 seconds, then turn off.  It does that three times, then shuts off completely.  When the engine is warm, the darn thing works which is kinda rediculous...the installers at Best Buy think it may have something to do with the fact that it's a turbo...?
Also, how do I reset the routine service light?

Helen, Leave it to best buy to give you some ridiculous excuse.  The remote starter has something to do with the alarm system.  You may have to unlock the car first, then try to start it.  As far as the service light do the following:  Turn key to pos 1, hold odometer button down. wait 5 seconds then turn to pos 2.  Wait until you get the service light to flash or another message.  Let go of the button.  Light is reset.  Roger
