Volvo Repair: 2004 Volvo S40 1.9L, volvo s40, newer cars

Hello,

I'm having some problems with my car-- "Check Engine" light is on, while acceleration is very slow, with engine idling slightly higher than normal.  Not sure if it's a tube to the engine, or the fact that it is very cold outside (0 below Fahrenheit), and potentially moisture is getting into gas tank.  Thanks very much in advance!

Matthew, with any situation like this, it may be a number of things.  There may be a Turbo hose that has a hole in it, a possible blocked Cat converter which is common on the S40.  The thing to do is have a Volvo shop scan the car to determine what is going on.  unfortunately on these newer cars, everything is done by computer.  Roger
