Volvo Repair: Windshield wiper problem, volvo 240 wagon, windshield wiper

Question
The tailgate wiper on my 1986 Volvo 240 wagon does not return to park. When I set it on intermittent, it moves in small steps across the window. Is there an easy fix for this? Thanks.

  Chris, probably no easy fix. Shut everything off. Loosen arm mounting nut under the little cover. Move arm to park position and tighten nut. Make sure motor mounting is not loose and make sure all electrical connections are good. Then try it.
   If that doesn't work, replace motor.
