Volvo Repair: CEL - s80 post timing belt change, volvo s80 t6, fuel pressure regulator

Question
Hello,
I have a 2000 Volvo S80 T6 that just crossed 95,000 miles. As the second owner I wanted to do all of the services for the 105,000 a bit early. I replaced the timing belt and tensioner and the car runs great but the CEL keeps coming on. Generic code scan gave a p0014 error, advanced timing so I took a second look just to make sure and the timing marks are lined up. There is a small leak coming from a round metal enclosure inside the timing housing just below the cams and since I don't know what it is, I left it alone. Could this be a bad sensor? The live data on the scan show timing moving between 13 and 17 adv degrees.
Thank you in advance,
Scott

Answer
Scott, if a shop did the timing belt, take it back. It's their problem. If you did it yourself, you probably have one of the "mark's" off by a tooth or the belt is too tight. Also, check the fuel pressure regulator for leakage into the vacuum line connected to it. (I'll explain why if that's the case)

 Let me know.
