Volvo Repair: engine stalling, volvo v70 wagon, volvo v70

Question
I own a 98 volvo V70 wagon (non turbo) with 178k and while driving on the highway at about 75 i would feel the car "buck" or miss. this would happen  mostly when i was re-assuming my speed from a slight slowdown. when i  came to a stop (offramp), the car would sputter and die. It then would take a few attempts to restart and then would run just fine and gave no "check engine " light???  This has been getting worse in the last two days as it only would happen at higher speed (O+) driving but now is  starting to happen even at low (40mph) speeds too. Yesterday i changed the spark plugs ( new bosch plat.) new wires since i noticed a crack on the plastic plug/boot,  fuel filter(owners manual frequency), and three of the 90 degree rubber hose connectors that looked somewhat degraded. At first i sprayed them w/ some brake cleaner to see if the idle would rise (indicating a leak) but no such luck. Any help would be sooooo helpful at this point,  thanx, mark

Answer
Mark, sounds like you put fisher price wires on there.  Use Bougicord wires only. The rest are garbage.  You may be having a fuel pump issue or cam sensor problem.  Just like any other car, I would need to check this out and see whats going on.  Roger
