Volvo Repair: 2001 V70 automatic transmission, speedo gear, nuetral

Question
I can't see anywhere to check the transmission fluid level or add fluid.  All i see is what looks like a threaded plug on top of the case that is about 1 1/4".  What type of fluid is required?

Sorry, I forgot. You have to pull the speedo gear out. There is a line on it that indicates proper fluid level. Nice huh? It's just above the gear itself. A line, (circle) on the shaft. Transmission must be warm and in nuetral while checking. Do not forget to set the parking brake!
