Volvo Repair: oil problem, crankcase ventilation, volvo s70

Question
I HAVE A 1998 VOLVO S70 TURBO WITH 168000 MILES.IAM NOT LEAKING OIL OR BURNING OR SMOKING.BUT WHEN I CHECK FOR A READING I HAVE NO OIL,A FRIEND OF MINE SAID IT WAS MY TURBO THAT IS ABOUT READY TO GO.WHAT DO YOU THINK

Answer
Mike, possibly. Pull the boots and look for ALOT of oil present. There is always a little. Should drip out of there. Ten measure the radial and axial play of the turbine. Then you'll know. Unusual though at that mileage. I would check crankcase ventilation too.
