Volvo Repair: 1987 volvo 240 wont start, volvo 240, fuel pumps

Question
when it started happening, it would only happen when it was damp out, but I haven't been able to get it started for 2 weeks now.  It tries, it chugs and chugs but won't turn over.  I have replaced all the fuses for the fuel pumps. and the battery is fine.  I am wondering about the spark plugs or the carburetor.  It was running a little rough before this and I thought maybe I had a fouled plug, but since I travel a lot for work, I hadn't been home on a day the garage was open to take it in.

Answer
There is no carburetor on this car unless you have canadian specs or someone changed it to carburetor.    It could be anything and there are lots of test to do before I could even tell you what it is.  I suggest a Volvo shop to help you on this one. Roger
