Volvo Repair: 2000 Volvo S80 T6 Exhaust Stinks, volvo s80 t6, head gasket leak

Roger,
 The car started running bad IE:loss of power, check engine, stink out the exhaust. I got a cyl.2 misfire and a 567 code: cruise/brake. I put a new plug and coil on cyl.2 - fixed the cyl. misfire. Still have the stink out the exhaust. Is that the cat burning? Still idles rough too. What is the cruise/brake code? The cruise has been intermittenly not working.

Scott, Most likely thats what it is.  There are cat problems with those car but people never fix them because of the expense.  They just live with the smell.  The idling rough can be anumber of things from turbo hoses and other coils that are bad.  There may be a head gasket leak also.  I would do a compression test.  Never heard of a 567 code, but its most likely a module.  Roger
